Where Raw Teak
Becomes Royal Heritage
Step onto the workshop floor. Here, time moves at the pace of the chisel. There are no automated routers, no synthetic veneers, and no shortcuts. Every relief crest, Singhasan lion throne, and monumental bed is born from solid seasoned timber, shaped by master artisans whose hands continue an unbroken Indian palace tradition.

Solid Teak Hand Carving
Zero CNC Routers. Pure Human Devotion.
Seated cross-legged amidst fragrant ribbons of raw teakwood curls, our master carvers spend hundreds of hours sculpting a single royal crest. Using hand-forged steel gouge chisels and balanced wooden mallets, they gouge three-dimensional acanthus scrolls, lotus petals, and imperial flourishes directly into seasoned solid timber. Because dense hardwood grain resists unpredictably, only an intuitive artisan’s hand can balance tension and depth—producing deep undercuts and light-catching shadows that no automated CNC machine could ever replicate.
Ancestral Geometry & Layout
Translating Royal Palace Heritage onto Timber
Before steel touches seasoned timber, royal motifs are meticulously drawn to 1:1 scale on architectural drafts and blueprint stencils. From classic Rajput floral cartouches to grand Baroque friezes, each curve is aligned with palace proportions. Our artisans lay these stencils directly across monumental solid slabs, dusting and scoring the guidelines by hand before the chiseling begins—ensuring exacting symmetry across large dining suites, consoles, and canopy beds.

The Royal Singhasan & Upholstery
Fierce Lion Heads & Imperial Brocades
The authentic Indian Singhasan (Royal Lion Throne) is a testament to sovereign majesty. Hand-sculpted from dense solid teak, the armrests culminate in regal roaring lion heads beneath an arched imperial backrest. In our upholstery bay, master craftsmen build layered high-resilience foundations, tensioning traditional webbings before wrapping each contour in sumptuous midnight-blue and champagne damask jacquard brocades. Every welt, tufting button, and decorative piping is hand-stitched for timeless dignity.

Luminous Teak Patina
Coaxing the Natural Fire from Seasoned Wood
We deliberately reject synthetic polyurethane sprays that plasticize timber under an artificial glaze. Instead, Ravensaa finishes are hand-rubbed over several days using traditional spirit and wax formulations. This labor-intensive technique penetrates deep into the pores, nourishing the timber while coaxing out the natural amber-gold chatoyancy, rhythmic tiger stripes, and bookmatched fiddleback grain of mature teak. The surface invites the touch and will patina gracefully over generations.

Interlocking Mortise & Tenon Architecture
The structural foundation of every Ravensaa piece is rooted in ancient architectural joinery. We rely on interlocking mortise-and-tenon joints, drawbored wooden pegs, and dovetails rather than fragile metal fasteners. This allows the dense, living wood to expand and contract harmoniously across humid monsoons and arid winters without creaking, warping, or loosening. Crowned with deeply carved floral arches and fluted posts, our Maharaja beds are engineered to outlive centuries.
